Dai Minority Park

One of China’s many oddities–the Dai Minority Park. A bit of a controversial tourist attraction for its complete and utter commercialization of Dai culture. It did feel like I was walking through a people zoo, although outside of the performances, people were just living their lives or trying to sell stuff. Twice a day, they hold a water splashing festival, very similar to Thailand’s Songkran. Although everything seemed very artificial, I did quite enjoy the performances. #100happydays #day19 (at Yunnan)
