My DIY Loi Krathongs
And these were our krathongs! The base is made of a banana tree trunk, and we used banana leaves and flowers that we collected ourselves as decorations. I think it’s pretty obvious which one is mine and which one is Bean’s 😂 Sometimes you can also put Thai money in the middle, but then people will steal it when it floats further down the river. Bean and I had to walk along as our krathongs floated telling people that ours had no money, and not to take them. (at Amphoe Muang Nakhon Si Thammarat, Nakhon Si Thammarat, Thailand)
