Everything is covered in shit and I’ve accepted that. I’m OK with it. I just have to wash my hands very carefully every time I eat. I suppose you should do this anyways and I’ve been told movie theater seat are covered in shit too, so its not that different than before. We have outside shoes and inside shoes and always switch in the foyer when we come in, so I thought its pretty clean inside. BUT THEN, one time when we let the dogs out I watched then run into the horses shit and stick their faces in everything and run back inside. My heart sank as I thought of the many times I held two or three of the dogs in my lap and they tried to lick my face. Also, no matter how often I wash my hands, it always felt as if there was still a layer of dirt–I realized this was just my rough skin. Another time, Beruna was sniffing around in the horse shit and then jumped up on my chest and licked my mouth–it was really great.
